General info
Staff meeting before the camp
It is very important for all adults & yuvas who come as staff to agree together on the standards of behaviour, procedures, safety etc. and to discuss how we will manage the children individually and in their groups, before the start of the camp. If you have questions please drop us a line. All adults attending the camp should attend the meeting:
When: The afternoon before the camp starts (may change in case of overlap with events at the hangar)
Where: To be decided – usually at the back of the hangar, but could also be at the Mulino.
During the camp
In general you’ll have one or two main jobs to do (such as activity leader, dorm aunty, cooking, …) and if there is a need for anything else that needs to be done during the camp, the idea is that everyone joins the effort so work is spread among everyone as opposed to a few.
Closing of the camp
At the end of the camp there is a lot of work to clean and put everything tidy again. Additionally, if it is the last camp of the summer, there is quite some extra work to put everything away and close the building properly for winter. Some of the big jobs are removing and storing everything from the meditation room, the kitchen (including furniture and appliances), the store room, the bed rooms (all mattresses have to go to the apartment area so they can remain dry), emptying the water pipes and closing the water, etc…
This means the last 2 days of the camp we need the cooperation from all adults, yuva shakti and children to get this big job done. If everyone helps the job is not too big, if too much work remains for just a few people it can be really too much.
Please recheck the website at least a couple of days before the camp for the latest dates & locations. For last minute changes, we’ll place an announcement on the sliding doors on the back of the hangar.
Daglio has been a great spiritual as well as physical journey for me. My meditation has been much, much better since I’ve been in Daglio camp and the nature is very beautiful.
Important for volunteers
We need 5 to 6 volunteers on the camp with qualifications to work with Children. (legal requirement to have 1 for every 10 children)
So if you have a teacher diploma (or a monitor, a child psychologist or any similar qualification) or any experience with working with children, we need the following from you:
- your CV
- copy of diploma
- Work experience with children with proof of employment in a school or similar institution is also valid in case of no qualifying diploma
- if you take a photo instead of a scan, please make sure the lighting is good and no fingers or hands on the photo, and the least amount of unneeded border as possible
- a criminal check from your local commune (this can take a week on average)
Please provide these papers to us as soon as possible after your registration.
Since we are only a few people doing the admin of this camp and we have to deal with around 200 people registering, asking questions, etc… please make sure to send us the requested documents in good quality scans, all at once (one email with a zip file attached for example) and with filenames of the attachments containing your full name.
Also, all volunteers working full time in the kitchen should have an HACCP certificate (if you have one but don’t plan to work in the kitchen, please send it still)
Three volunteers should have a Fire Safety certificate.
Two volunteers should have a First Aid diploma (or a medical degree).
If needed we will provide a 2 hour training for HACPP (food safety) and Fire Safety training Saturday before the first camp. Let us know if you would be interested to follow one of these.
All documents sent to us should be renamed by the sender for easy filing as follows:
John Smith UK Teacher’s Diploma
John Smith UK CV
John Smith UK Criminal Check
Jenny Smith UK Food Engineer diploma (HACCP implied)
Note on Criminal Check
As stated above, the head of the camp and all qualified child supervisors must present a Criminal Check. This varies a lot from one country to another, in price, scope (some have a special one for working with children) or time to have it delivered. Please request it in time so you don’t have to pay an urgency fee to have it just before the camp.

Costs (confirmed for 2023)
- Western countries: €400 for the first child (a second child in the family pays €200, a third €100).
- Adults & Yuvas: €150 for the full camp
In case a volunteer and a child are from the same family we have following prices (prices mentioned are for the whole family)
- 1 parent (or 1 older Yuva sibling) on the camp with: 1 child: €450, 2 children: €650, 3 children: €750
- 2 parents on the camp with: 1 child: €600, 2 children: €700, 3 children: €800
Additional discounts:
- Further discounts are offered to non-Western participants or where family income is low (i.e.: below $700 monthly per family member). Please check the Fee projections in the attached list, to see how much you need to pay according to your region and family size, or contact us directly to confirm the amount to be paid.
- Ukrainian yogis, refugees or not, who lost their income due to the war situation in their country but have the desire to come to Daglio may be granted an extra discount (depending on the budget and number of applicants – please get in touch with us at info@dagliocamp.com)
- Important: We try to support all Sahaja families who wish to send their children to Daglio, hence the different types of fees and discounts. However, if your income allows it (so higher than average in your country), please look at the higher fees that seem reasonable for your family and pay for the camp accordingly, regardless of where you live. Equally, if you feel you would like to speak to us about the cost of the camp for you or your children please get in touch.
Pocket money:
€10 for youngsters and €20 for older children is sufficient. This can be kept with a parent or older sibling on the camp, or by the child if they are old enough to be responsible for it. If not it can be given to the camp at registration, and we’ll give it to them the day we visit the village.
Extra stay fee:
€10 per child, per night, outside of the official camp dates. Note that this is only exceptionally allowed, if requested and approved in advance, and if the parents find a volunteer on site to act as legal guardian of the child before the camp starts (or after it ends), and make it official with a paper at their town hall (the child and guardian should have copies of that document with them, and an electronic copy of it should be e-mailed to us beforehand). Volunteers on the other hand don’t have to pay for the extra stay, but they are in exchange expected to help with all the necessary camp opening or closing works.
It is my first time that I’m in the camp, and I’m very enjoying myself. I going deeper to Sahaja Yoga and getting better at my English.
Next topic for parents: What to bring/what not to bring
Buying activity material beforehand
We encourage volunteers who give a morning activity to already buy activity material before the camp so you will have the correct materials available to you for giving the activity. It may be worth sending us an e-mail listing the materials you need and estimated total cost. We may already have some of them on camp
The budget you can spent is up to € 50 per activity. (the camp will reimburse up to € 50 per activity, if more is needed, request the amount for approval before spending it)
Invoice details:
Very important however is that we need an invoice on the name of Casa Madre to be able to reimburse you:
Casa Made Impresa Sociale Srl ETS
Via Martiri della Libertà 11
15060 Cabella Ligure AL
PI/CF 02457740062
IPA 3ZJY534 – the IPA code is all you need to communicate to Italian shops, who would then be able to issue electronic invoices
Please print out this information and take it with you to the shop. Note that every shop is legally obliged to provide an invoice if requested. (even internationally)
It is ok for the shop to send us the invoice by post on a later date, in that case, request a simple ticket and mail it to us with the message an invoice will be sent by post.
Note that also when doing shopping for Daglio during the camp, invoices will always need to be requested.
How to know if registration is accepted
After you registered on this website you might want to know when your registration is accepted:
Here a checklist to go through to know you are accepeted:
– Make sure you have a R listed behind your name in the who’s coming page. It means we received a recommendation for you (if no R is listed, remind your coordinator or leader to provide it to us)
– Bring your ID/passport and insurance valid in Italy to the camp
– Payment has been done by bank transfer at least 10 days before the camp starts or you will pay cash at the registration desk the day before the camp starts.
– You will join the volunteers meeting one or two days before the camp
info for pre-camp participants
All expenses or investments done for the camp or the Daglio building need an invoice (fattura in italian language) on the name of Case Madre:
Invoice details:
Casa Made Impresa Sociale Srl ETS
Via Martiri della Libertà 11
15060 Cabella Ligure AL
PI/CF 02457740062
IPA 3ZJY534 – the IPA code is all you need to communicate to Italian shops, who would then be able to issue electronic invoices
Important: Regarding shops in Cabella or Albera, when specifying Casa Madre, also specify Daglio, since they bill to Casa Madre for 9 different reasons, such as the school, puja’s, festival, mini-washi, Centrassi, etc…
If they propose they provide the invoice directly to Casa Madre including collecting the money from them instead of you paying, that is ok if you mention the invoice details and that it is for Daglio, in that case you also need to get a normal receipt or delivery paper and give it to us informing us it is not paid and the invoice will come later
Please print out this information and take it with you to the shop. Note that every shop is legally obliged to provide an invoice if requested. (even internationally)
For shops in Italy and other countries: When you pay, it is ok for the shop to send us the invoice by post or by mail on a later date, in that case, request a simple ticket and mail or give it to us with the message an invoice will be sent by post or by mail and it is paid already.
Note that also when doing shopping for Daglio during the camp, invoices will always need to be requested.
